Flash back if you will to the early 1970’s. Nixon was still in office, filling up your tank was cheap and bell bottoms were in style. If you were old enough to have lived through this era, and you were turned on by tough girls, there was no one who could compare with Pam Grier. She had some serious boobs long before the era of omnipresent enhancements, had a sense of style that gave birth to countless wet dreams, and could kick some ass with the baddest of the bad. She also wasn’t shy about sharing her topless assets, which was an important part of the “blaxploitation” era of which she was the undisputed queen.
WHERE CAN I SEE PAM GRIER NUDE?
Ms. Grier might not quite give Meryl Streep a run for the money in the acting department, but she is hardly a slouch. To be fair though, what really brought her the most attention in her career (at least in the earliest part of it) was her phenomenal set of breasts.
In 1971’s “The Big Doll House,” which is now considered a classic of the girls behind bars genre, she not only gets to play a bad ass, but she has a pretty awesome shower scene.
Another of her classic blaxploitation films of the era is 1973’s “Coffy,” with Pam playing a nurse turned vigilante. The tagline of the film nicely sums it all up: “She’s the Godmother of them all…..the baddest One-Chick Hit-Squad that ever hit town!” That of course leaves out one key point though, which is that she is once again naked and showing the world those magnificent D-cups.
Another gem of the genre was 1975’s “Friday Foster,” in which Ms. Grier played the title role. It has all the great elements of the era, from funky music to cool clothes, as well as a cast that will make a trivia buff proud, including Carl Weathers (Apollo Creed from “Rocky”), Eartha Kitt (“Catwoman”), Jim Backus (Thurston Howell III), Scatman Crothers (“The Shining”) and Ted Lange (Isaac from “The Love Boat”). Plus, and perhaps most of all, lots of Pam Grier’s naked skin.
In fact, if you want to see Pam Grier naked, nearly any of her ‘70s films offer at least a bit of skin. 1975’s “Sheba Baby” was an exception as it offered relatively little skin, but still has a super cool trailer and poster.
I AM VERY BUSY AND ONLY HAVE TIME TO SEE ONE PAM GRIER MOVIE FROM THE BLAXPLOITATION ERA. WHAT IS MY BEST BET?
Without doubt, the definitive Pam Grier film of the era is 1974’s “Foxy Brown.” Like most of her other films of that time, she does offer a good amount of skin but this film really is the time capsule piece of blaxploitation. It’s a classic revenge tale, with hot sex, tons of violence, great period music, awesome clothes and one of the great taglines of the decade: “A chick with drive who don’t take no jive!”
HOW DID PAM GRIER GET FROM FROM FORMER B-MOVIE STAR TO BACK TO THE A-LIST?
A simple two word answer. “Quentin Tarentino.” His 1997 classic “Jackie Brown” was in many ways a love letter to Pam Grier and the entire blaxploitation movement, and it’s fair to say that if he hadn’t hand picked her to star, she would likely still be on the fringes of Hollywood. Tarantino has said that she may have been the first ever female action star in cinema.
Like most of Tarantino’s films, it has only gotten better with age, and Pam’s performance is a thing of beauty. While low on the nudity quotient, it’s definitely one of her defining moments and a must see for any fan.
Here is the opening scene, which is one long shot of Pam as she goes to work. The camera stays on her, as clearly Quentin is a man with excellent taste in women.

The fact that she has stuck around for over 40 years in a business that eats ‘em up and spits ‘em out proves that she is a survivor. Her career had a lot of years where she could barely get a job, but over the long haul, she’s still here and in many ways better than ever. Sure, gravity and age have taken their toll, but she’s still looking pretty good even today.
IS IT ONLY STRAIGHT MEN WHO WANT TO SEE PAM GRIER NUDE?
The answer to that one is a big “nope,” as Pam found a whole new set of fans during her years on Showtimes’ lesbian series “The L Word.”
WOULD A NUDE PAM GRIER PASS A DRUG TEST?
By all indications it would today, but the ‘70s were a different time. In Pam’s autobiography “Foxy: My Life in Three Acts,” she recounted why she broke up with Richard Pryor. Here’s a story of when she visited her doctor.
“He said, “Pam, I want to tell you about an epidemic that’s prevalent in Beverly Hills right now. It’s a buildup of cocaine residue around the cervix and in the vagina. You have it. Are you doing drugs?”
“No,” I said, astonished.
“Well, it’s really dangerous,” he went on. “Is your partner putting cocaine on his penis to sustain his erection?”
“No,” I said, “not that I know of. It’s not like he has a pile of cocaine next to the bed and he dips his penis in it before we have sex.” I had a nauseating flash of one of Richard’s famous lines: Even my dick has a cocaine jones.
“Are you sure he isn’t doing it in the bathroom before he comes to bed?” the doctor asked.
“That’s a possibility,” I said. “You know, I am dating Richard Pryor.”
“Oh, my God,” he said. “We have a serious problem here. If he’s not putting it on his skin directly, then it’s worse because the coke is in his seminal fluid.”
