After accepting his Best Actor statuette in 2012, Jean Dujardin managed to make it past the censors when he shouted in French, “If George Valentin could speak, he’d say ‘Wow! Putain! Genial! Merci! Formidable!’” The swear word here is “Putain” which roughly translates to “Whore”. It a flexible word though, much like a lot of our English swear words.
