Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer To Screen This Friday

The release of the next “Star Wars” movie may be more than a year away but that doesn’t mean Walt Disney Pictures is going to wait to start teasing the fans with the movie they never thought they’d see in their lifetime. The movie theater chain Regal announced that they will release the teaser trailer for “Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens” in a select group of theaters across the nation this Friday through Sunday.

And when we say “a select group of theaters,” we mean just that. The full list of theaters that will be the first to see the teaser trailer is a very small one. It only includes nine theaters in eight states. So if you’re a die hard fan, plan on taking a road trip this weekend if you don’t live near one of the theaters. If you’re not that die hard and think the very idea is insane, let’s be reasonable – you know some uber nerds are going to cross state lines just to see this thing, which will literally be on the internet the next day.  Oh well, who are we to judge?

If you manage to find a theater that’s showing the new teaser trailer, what can you expect to see? You’ll probably get a glimpse of some star fights and spaceships on the screen, maybe Yoda taking a pee or some Wookiee hijinks. We know for sure that we’ll see the return of some of the film’s original characters like Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia back on the screen in their much older forms, of course. If Leia is back in that gold bikini may God have mercy on all our souls.
