Every high school student knows that getting your wiener jokes into the yearbook is like trying to publish political satire in a communist dictatorship. You can’t go straight for it out in the open like those kids did some years back who all took photos of themselves throwing up The Shocker. You’ll all get burned in the end. You have to be more subversive about it. That’s why recent graduate Jessica Lee deserves major props for her yearbook quote accomplishment. From the photo above you might think at first glance that this is a nerdy chemistry reference, a string of random elements or that she is admitting that she is Heisenberg:
(F) flourine (U) uranium (C) carbon (K) potassium (Bi) bismuth (Tc) technetium (He) helium (S) sulfur (Ge) germanium (Tm) thulium (O) oxygen (Ne) neon (Y) yttrium.”
In fact she has used the chemistry symbols for each of these elements to spell out “Fuck Bitches. Get Money” – Not a quote not from Einstein, but from one Mr. Notorious B.I.G in his song “Get Money” (and subsequent rap artists.) Maybe Ms. Lee’s quote will inspire a new style of chemistry rap. What was the most subversive quote or message in your yearbook?
