Malaysia Flight 17 Passenger Made A Haunting Facebook Post Prior To Boarding

As if the sad news of what happened wasn't enough, this facebook post really takes it up a notch.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down over the eastern Ukraine this morning with nearly 300 passengers and crew on board. One passenger made a Facebook post prior to boarding the fateful flight.

Here's the text and image they posted on their page from the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

From Dutch to English, the "Mocht hij verdwijnen , zo ziet hij d'r uit"  translation reads: "'In case it goes missing, here is what it looks like".

It's obviously a reference in jest toward the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 that went missing over the Indian Ocean four months ago. Hindustantimes.com posted a link to the original facebook post, which has been shared over 13,000 times as of this writing. People around the world mourning the passengers and crew of Flight 17 have taken to the post as a hub for condolences.

The details of why the crash happened are as unfortunate as the crash itself. With Ukrainian officials and President Petro O. Poroshenko calling the missile that took down Flight 17 an act of terrorism due to the plane's path over rebel territory between the Ukraine and Russia, an investigation is underway to find out where exactly the missile came from.
