Lucy Liu: Sexy Asian Girl Indeed

Lucy Liu hot

It might come as a shock if you only know her from TV shows like Elementary or Ally McBeal, or PG-13 movies like Charlie’s Angels (also starring Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz), but Lucy Liu has actually bared all on multiple occasions in film. Her career in filmed nudity began back in 1997, with the release of Flypaper, a crime thriller that (I’m guessing) probably has some Tarantino-inspired elements within it. It also has Lucy Liu getting naked. Here’s a relatively SFW shot of her naked in the movie:

It didn’t take long for Liu to appear nude in another movie – in fact, City of Industry came out the very same year. Like Flypaper, it’s another Tarantino-esque crime joint, this one starring frequent Tarantino collaborator Harvey Keitel. Lucy Liu plays a stripper in it, and unlike a lot of movie strippers she actually takes off her clothes. You’ll have to check out the whole movie to see it, but here’s a trailer for the movie to get you in the mood:

After City of Industry, Lucy Liu hit that level of fame where onscreen nudity wasn’t a necessary option for her anymore. But she continued to play sexy roles in films and on TV until eventually she started doing nudity again. They say everything moves in cycles, this is just another example of that.

Let’s begin our study of this phase of Lucy Liu’s career with another 1997 selection – Riot. Riot is a made-for-TV movie that originally showed on Showtime, and while it’s unfortunately bereft of nudity it does have a short scene of Lucy Liu in her underwear. This movie’s a bit on the obscure side, but you might be able to track it down if you apply yourself.

Our next film isn’t an obscurity, though. It’s Payback, a 1999 relic from that period when we had no idea what a jackass Mel Gibson was. This Lucy Liu performance is true to form for this era of Liu’s career in that it’s nudity-free, but she does appear in a thong and in S&M gear.

That same year, Lucy Liu appeared in another sexy role in the boxing drama/comedy Play It to the Bone. She shares the screen with a great cast, so the movie is probably worth checking out even if she doesn’t get naked in it. Here’s a trailer so you can see what I mean:

It’s at this point that we reach Lucy Liu’s most widely seen role up to this point, and quite possibly the first time that many people reading this ever saw her on screen. It’s Charlie’s Angels, which put Liu together with Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz. This movie is pure PG-13 nonsense, but Liu (and her two costars) push the envelope of sexually provocative material within that framework. Here’s an OK example, also featuring Diaz and Barrymore dressed like men, which … I dunno about you, but to me it’s weirdly hot:

Following Charlie’s Angels, Lucy Liu gave another underwear-centric performance in Chicago. I never saw this movie, probably because as a young teen I was too busy watching Charlie’s Angels, but here’s a regrettably low-quality clip of Liu in the movie:

Now we have just one more movie to get to before Lucy Liu decided to start allowing herself on-screen nudity again. It’s the sequel to Charlie’s Angels, entitled Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, and Liu ups the ante on the first movie, appearing in her underwear like she neglected to do in the previous installment. Here’s a trailer that will give you a nice anticipatory headache before you watch the movie:

You must realize by now that I wouldn’t have gotten your hopes up like that if she didn’t. You will have to bear with me, though, as her first bit of onscreen nudity in several years was an accidental, fleeting glimpse of her breasts – one that I won’t try to post here, this being a family website and all, but I can tell you it happened in the movie Lucky Number Slevin. It’s yet another Tarantino-lite crime movie, this one also starring Josh Hartnett, Bruce Willis, and Morgan Freeman. In case you don’t remember this one, here’s a trailer to jog your memory:

Lucy Liu’s only other documented nude scenes in a movie are a lot more thorough than the quickie we get in Lucky Number Slevin. They’re in a movie called Rise: Blood Hunter, a movie about a detective hunting down a vampire cult or something. Lucy Liu is one of the vampires in it, and she has multiple nude scenes, as do a couple of her co-stars. The movie got terrible reviews when it was released in 2007, but who knows? Maybe, like a vampire, time has treated it well. Or you could just judge it by its trailer, which you can watch below:

At this point, I wouldn’t blame you if you feel like you never want to see another Lucy Liu movie again. But even if that’s true, you might want to check out some photos of Lucy Liu. She hasn’t posed nude for many print publications at this point, but at least one magazine was able to score some (very NSFW) topless images of Lucy Liu for the benefit of their readers. Most of the images, as you might be able to guess, aren’t fit for publication here, but below is one of the tamer pics that will give you an idea of what to expect:

If you want more of Lucy Liu topless (and why in the hell wouldn’t you?), you can see the rest of the photos from a hot German GQ photo shoot right here.

Once you get done looking at Lucy Liu in all her topless glory, there are still other, milder options for your entertainment needs. Let’s start with this fantastic photo:

And here’s another one:

And, just in case you want to continue the “Lucy Liu in a white swimsuit” trifecta, here’s one more:

Speaking of Lucy Liu nude, here’s a shot that technically depicts just that, although the nudity is strictly of the tasteful sort, and she’s not showing much. Still, it’s better than nothing:

At this point, it would be pretty bizarre if there weren’t any Photoshopped pictures of an actress as famous and beautiful as Lucy Liu nude out there. But, sometimes things happen exactly as you would think, and this is one of those times. So if you do a quick Google search for “Lucy Liu nude,” you’ll see plenty of examples of various individuals’ Photoshop skills in this area. I can’t share any of these pieces here, but for informational purposes just know that they’re out there. And some of them only look kind of fake instead of ridiculously fake.

According to her IMDb page (which you can take a look at right here), Lucy Liu has only two feature films lined up for the immediate future, and neither of them are likely to contain any nudity. The first is Legend of the NeverBeast, and unless “NeverBeast” is a euphemism for “vagina,” I have serious doubts that this will mark a return for Liu to the exciting world of onscreen nudity. The next one, not due for release until 2015 (and Liu’s involvement is listed as being “rumored”) is Kung Fu Panda 3. So overall it’s safe to say that the forecast for future Lucy Liu nudity on the big screen is hovering around “not likely.”

Still, like I always say, it never hurts to have a little bit of hope. As of this writing, Liu is only 45, which gives her more than enough time to shock us all with a little midlife crisis nudity in a film. But even if that doesn’t happen, we’ll always have pictures like this:

And isn’t that enough?
