A Kid Cut This Worker's Rope Harness Because He Was Interrupting His Cartoons

In Guizhou, China, Liu Mai was using his drill 80 ft. off the ground on an apartment building when one of the tenant's 10-year old kids decided enough was enough and cut one of Mai's ropes to his harness. Mai told UK's Metro "I was using an electric drill to fit security lights to the outside of the building when I felt my safety rope shaking. I looked up to see what was wrong. Then I saw the boy cutting the rope with a knife. I shouted at him to stop but he didn’t listen and soon after, the rope was broken. I was petrified."

The insane part isn't really the kid's act, but more why he did it in the first place. Later the boy told authorities that Mai's drilling made it hard for the boy to hear his cartoons that he was watching. That's right, the boy tried killing the worker because it was interrupting his cartoons! Wow.

The boy's father apologized and bought Mai a new rope. He also plans on taking his son to anger management classes. Let's hope he does more than that for the kid because Mai was left dangling for 40 minutes before help arrived.

The father added, "He has promised he will not do something similar again." Which is exactly the sort of thing a serial killer would say.
