This week Colonel Sanders had the makings for its biggest public relations disaster since the public tasted the KFC Double Down. A woman named Kelly Mullins in Jackson, Mississippi took her 3-Year-Old granddaughter for a bite to eat at a local KFC franchise when an employee asked them to leave due to the girl’s appearance. This is weird since they haven’t kicked people out of restaurants in Mississippi for the way they look in a long time, or so I thought. (There it is!)
This insanely insensitive request came due to the fact that young girl was the victim of a pit-bull attack and her facial injuries were “frightening other customers.” Victoria Wilcher lost her right eye, suffered broken ribs, puncture wounds and a broken jaw when she was attacked by three of her grandfather’s pit-bulls at his home in April.
The only thing frightening here is other “humans.”
Victoria's grandmother was taking her to the KFC on the way home from a doctor’s appointment to buy mashed potatoes and gravy in hopes that the girl would be able to eat the soft food. It’s probably best that the girl didn’t eat KFC’s mashed potatoes, as in the past employees have created giant mashed potato boobs and licked them.

Good Guy Kentucky Fried Chicken Corporate - or excuse me, KFC -as all you conspiracy theorists know they are legally only allowed to call if KFC because the headless genetically modified organisms they use for meat are not technically chicken- has stepped up and in an apology to the family, promised 30 thousand dollars for Victoria’s medical bills. In a statement the company said:
"We take this very seriously, as we have zero tolerance for any kind of hurtful or disrespectful actions toward our guests. Our investigation is ongoing, but we have been in touch with the family and are committed to doing something appropriate for this beautiful little girl and her family. We will also work with the franchisee to take appropriate action at the restaurant once the specifics of the incident are determined."
At least we know for sure they use real chicken meat at McDonald’s!
The response to the allegations came quickly after Victoria’s grandmother posted her outrage over the incident to the Facebook group “Victoria’s Victories” – which is tracking Victoria’s recovery. She posted the girls photo with the caption “Does this face look scary to you?” No, but the KFC employee who would have the balls to go up to a little girl and ask her to leave sure seems scary.
What do you guys think, did KFC do the right thing by donating 30 thousand dollars to Victoria’s medical costs? While you think it over, enjoy this guy:
