29-year-old Jill Lamontagne had her life ahead of her: a loving husband, two beautiful children, a worthwhile career as a high school health teacher telling kids to diddle themselves instead of each other – and yet she chose to throw all of that away.
Because she just HAD to go and bang a 17-year-old Kennebunk High School student.
Gee whiz, what a shocker.
According to Daily Mail, rumors about a relationship between Lamontagne and the unnamed student had been making their way around the school for some time before an investigation was deemed necessary; not only did the student attempt to kill himself in mid-June of this year, but the day after he divulged to his aunt that he and Lamontagne were in a sexual relationship and that he was “so sorry for all the bad things he did.”
See, that’s one thing no one really considers when it comes to the students in these scenarios – yeah loads of people high-five and say “Man, wish I’d been bangin’ my teacher when I was a kid!” but not everyone is so lacking in conscience – imagine the guilt you’d carry for sleeping with your teacher when she’s married with two kids (assuming you had a soul).
Heartless lothario this poor student is not.
Court papers state the student told his mother that “He said he loved her, he said it happened numerous times, in the classroom, at her house, in her car. She told him that she hadn’t had a sexual relationship in two years.” The student claimed that the pair had met at Lamontagne’s house in order for them to “fool around,” as well as that she had performed oral sex on him in addition to “other stuff.”
Ironically, at the time of her arrest the mission statement on her blog read:
'My mission is to be an exceptional role model for my students. As a health teacher, I educate students about many aspects of their lives/lifestyles and I believe that I need to practice what I preach.
'To be successful in teaching students about these very sensitive topics, I am trustworthy, honest and reliable. I strive to be all of these things, along with kind, healthy and responsible so that I am a great role model and mentor for my students.'
Lamontagne was placed on administrative leave starting June 12th. She has been charged with six counts of gross sexual assault, two counts of unlawful sexual contact and six counts of sexual abuse of a minor. She was released on $1,000 bail and is scheduled to be back in court on December 22nd.
