Early Tuesday morning, the cops came knocking on Subway spokesman Jared Fogle's door. Not for a friendly chat, but because they were going to raid his house. They detained Fogle for several hours while they searched his Indianapolis home with the media still not 100% sure why. BUT, the executive director of Jared's foundation "The Jared Foundation", Russell Taylor, was arrested around two months ago on federal child pornograghy charges. What does Jared's foundation do? Encourage children to develop habits of healthy eating and exercise.
FBI found over 400 videos and stored media in the home of Russell Taylor. An affidavit filed in May by a detective to obtain search warrants for Taylor's home led to the discovery of child pornography featuring kids as young as 9-years-old. Not only did he own child porn but he apparently also produced it as well.
A member of the FBI confirmed they were doing an investigation in the area of Zionsville, Indianapolis but couldn't confirm why or with whom. The why is still not entirely confirmed.
UPDATE: FBI officers have seized "electronics, paper documents and other items from the Indiana home of Subway spokesman Jared Fogle." The police say Fogle is cooperating with law enforcement.
2ND UPDATE: Subway has suspended their relationship with Jared Fogle for the time being. Here's their statement that was just tweeted.
