Janay Rice Is Actually Defending Her Husband After Knockout Video Goes Viral

After security video TMZ Sports released showing Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice literally knocking out his wife in an elevator, Janay Rice took her Instagram account (which is set to private) to let the concerned know how she's feeling about the incident. And it's not exactly what you were hoping for.

She writes, "I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I’m mourning the death of my closest friend. But to have to accept the fact that it’s reality is a nightmare in itself. No one knows the pain that (the) media & unwanted options from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret every day is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass off for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific."

Or maybe, just maybe, pointing out that domestic violence is not okay is more important than your husband's career? I'm just spitballing here.

She then added, "THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don’t you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you’ve succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!"

Nothing like a football organization shout out after a message about getting knocked out by your husband. Ugh. First of all, she speaks as if this occured in the privacy of her home, and not a public elevator with security cameras everywhere. Secondly, if he has physically hurt his wife once, he's probably done it a few times so it's unfortunate that she's just not seeing the bigger picture more clearly. Especially since she could've broke her neck on that fall.

So if the "ratings gain" as she mentions can help her see that, then it was indeed for the greater good. And if not, then maybe other men and women going through the same situation can feel confident in knowing it's just not okay to be put through that violence.

If you haven't seen the video, watch it here to get a full grasp of how insane her comments are.

How do you feel about Janay Rice's comments defending her husband? I personally think she's lost her mind or simply too afraid to really speak out.
