Gamers have all kinds of dreams. They wish the version of "Duke Nukem Forever" that had been in their head for 15-plus years was the one they actually took home from the stores. They wish that Hollywood could make a decent video game movie that doesn't talk down to them the way that adults do when they are leaning over a baby's crib. Well, they finally got one wish fulfilled now that we know the new re-release of "Grand Theft Auto V" will have a first person mode.
No, we didn't pull this image from your dreams.
Rockstar Games, the studio behind the long running open world game series, released a new trailer featuring the optional mode that will let players run drugs, pull heists and go completely apes#($ in first person mode. The new mode will be part of the next-gen release of the game on Nov. 18th for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and Jan. 27th, 2015 for the PC. Watch the trailer here:
Can you imagine this on the Oculus Rift?
First person mode will also work in the online version of the game and you'll be able to switch between the first and third person modes throughout the game. We're living in a brand new world, people. Now you can experience the thrill of committing a felony from a first person perspective without having to actually commit a very real felony.
