Dating these days can be pretty terrible. Not because it can literally drive you to the point of insanity after dealing with a bunch of scrubs and flake, but because the actual scrubs and flakes have to now worry about the internet in blowing their cover. It seems no one can win now.
One 22-year-old girl met who she thought was Mr. Right one evening while out boozin’ on the town. She eventually made out with the guy, took a selfie while they made out (of course, because who just makes out anymore) and then got the guy’s number hoping to hook up with him again. Unfortuantely whether it be because of the booze or because the guy was covering his ass, the number she had written down was totally wrong. So, instead of travelling from village to village searching for Mr. Right, the girl posted the makeout selfie on facebook hoping someone would recognize the man and connect the two for what would surely be a happy life together. Low and behold, someone did recognize the guy! Unfortunately it was someone who knew the guy’s girlfriend, who was then quickly notified.
Safe to say the guy knew to not mess up what he had and gave the girl a bogus number but dammit if girls these days don’t just love taking those selfies. Once the guy’s girlfriend contacted the girl to figure out what the hell was going on, the girl seeking Mr. Right knew that it had all been one big f*ck up. Lucky for the girl, she was able to explain herself and let the girlfriend know she had no idea.
“I was absolutely gutted. I know I had only met him on a night out but we instantly hit it off and I really did like him. I thought he looked stunning and he was really friendly, we just clicked.”
Spoken like a true 22-year-old.
The young lady says she will now be incredibly careful who she “gets to know” when it comes to strangers in bars. But something tells me that she still has a long way to go to find someone who’s not entirely a dirtbag.
