Actor Emile Hirsch Might Go To Prison For Trying To Kill An Executive

Actor Emile Hirsch might be going to prison for a few years. No, it's not because he's researching a role where he plays a convict, it's because he allegedly choked an executive at the Sundance Film Festival last month. An "executive" may not do plaintiff Dani Bernfeld justice. She's actually the Vice President of digital entertainment for Paramount Pictures.

Hirsch allegedly approached Berfeld completely drunk at 3:15AM and began to call her "tough" and that she looked like a "rich kid". He then allegedly grabbed Bernfeld but she pushed him away. Hirsch then left the public area with his friends, but it didn't end there. Later, Bernfeld said Hirsch came up from behind her and tried to get her in a chokehold. As Bernfeld fought back, Hirsch dragged her across a table and the two fell on the ground where Hirsch began to choke her. She says it felt like the front and back of her throat was touching. Yeesh. Bernfeld says she believes she had blacked out when two bystanders dragged Hirsch off of her.

As of this writing, Hirsch has not made comment so this is only Bernfeld's side of the story, but charges of Aggravated Assault have been filed, which is a third degree felony. He faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
