‘Duck Tales’ Is Heading Back To Television In 2017

This is the kind of 80’s nostalgia I can get behind. Duck Tales, one of the better cartoons from your childhood is coming back to television in 2017 to channel Disney XD. Mark Buhaj, Senior Vice President of Programming and General Managing for the network released this statement on the new Duck Tales resurgence:

“Duck Tales has a special place in Disney’s TV animation history. It drew its inspiration from Disney legend Carl Barks’ comic books and, through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults. Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation.”

But will it be some crappy offspring of Duck Tales or will it feature the original characters like old times? Apparently the entire slew of characters is coming back including Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey and Louie, and even Donald Duck. But it doesn’t end there. Launchpad McQuack, Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, Flintheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell and Poe, Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys, Mrs. Beakley and Webbigail Vanderquack are apparently all going to make appearances in the cartoon as well.

The biggest question that looms is if the show will keep the classic theme song, because it would be a disgrace to bury it.
