On Tuesday Break shared with you a completely amazing video of a man who wasn’t going to take it anymore. Jason Wells is a butcher and owns several coffee shops in Britain. Unfortunately he got into bit of a kerfuffle with a guy riding a bike in front of his truck on the road. However, after Wells’ angry rant went viral, the small business owner is now facing a huge backlash. Maybe patrons of his coffee shops couldn’t handle the face of a man who drinks free coffee all day;
Who wants tea and crumpets?
As you will see in the video the bicyclist could have easily used the designated bike lane but chose not to and was torn a new one by the angry coffee shop owner driving the Land Rover. This is an amazing RANT.

OK, so here is the problem from the point of view of the driver, Wells. As you can see there is a cyclist riding down the street in a car lane, causing cars to move around him. Now in many cities, it is perfectly legal for bicyclists to “share the road’ with car and truck drivers who unlike said bicyclists pay auto insurance and registration fees for the privilege to do so.
Aaaaah! Justice is served like a cold latte.
The taxpayers have also paid for bike lanes along the side of the road, so the slower moving human powered vehicles do not slow traffic or get run over by cars going 60 miles per hour. However in their wisdom the Internet has taken the side of the poor bicyclist and users on sites like Trip Adviser and Yelp are trolling the hell out Wells’ coffee shops with negative reviews.
Police later investigated the incident and Wells was not arrested. He gave a public apology saying;
‘I would like to apologize for any offence caused. My behavior was unacceptable and regardless of the situation, I shouldn’t react like that. I fully appreciate that cyclists have as much right to the road as any other road users.’
Obviously the coffee shop owner didn’t want to cause any more outrage towards his business who Internet trolls are claiming made them barf and is treating them badly.

Whose side are you on? While the driver got a bit riled up, was it OK for the cyclist to take up the car lane? Just like the guy in the Atlanta airport yesterday brandishing the AR-15 he was LEGALLY ALLOWED to be doing what he was doing. The question is, was this right?
Where to go for a good cup of joe if you walk or drive:
Side note: No matter which side you are on in this issue, you have to give this angry guy props for his performance. I don’t know, maybe it’s just the colorful slang and phraseology that makes it so poetic. However if you ask me; holy crap they need to make a new category at the Academy Awards this year for Most Amazing Rant and give this guy the Oscar for it.
