Burger King Is Giving This Terminally Ill Dog Free Hamburgers For The Rest Of His Life

Burger King was the cream of the fast food crop back in the early 2000s, but as of late they’ve fallen to the wayside – a chicken parmesan sandwich? Fried macaroni and cheese balls? Coating anything and everything in cheeto dust? It’s like Burger King has finally come out and said “For the love of god, someone, ANYONE, buy our fried garbage!!!”
And that’s not to say I don’t like fried food – fried food is the shit. I just don’t like having my intelligence insulted by a fast food chain that thought this…

…was a good marketing idea; if anything I now get recurring nightmares of the King in the Suit coming to violate my butthole at night, which let me tell you, is NOT getting my ass into a BK anytime soon.

Burger King Gives Terminally Ill Dog Free Hamburgers For Life

But it appears that Burger King has found a way to get free viral marketing that actually warms my heart instead of clogging my colon, as one tweet by 22-year-old Alec Karcher caught their eye. Alec is the proud owner of a Boxer-Labrador mix named Cody, who has sadly only been given a few months to live due to bone cancer.

On Sunday night, one of Alec’s family members went to grab good boy Cody his daily treat: a plain hamburger from Burger King. The woman working the counter didn’t know that the burger was for a dog, and joked about eating a plain burger — you know, the fuel of psychopaths and people over 95. After explaining about Cody to the cashier she left to go speak to her manager, and a few minutes later she came back and told Alec that the burgers for Cody would be free at their location until he passed.

Burger King Gives Terminally Ill Dog Free Hamburgers For Life: I’m Not Crying, YOU’RE Crying

“I can’t explain how much that means to us, and my family and I are beyond appreciative,” Alec wrote in his Twitter post. “We never expected that to happen, and we are extremely appreciative of the kindness Burger King has shown us.” And while I’m not crying, YOU’RE the one crying, other people came out to share their appreciation for the kind move:

Best wishes to Cody and Alec.
