Pettie: Brad Paisley And LL Cool J Fix Racism With One Song

Earnest-Pettie by Earnest-Pettie on Apr. 08, 2013

Brad Paisley and LL Cool J teamed up to release a song that brings together many things: country and hip hop, a black man and a white man, a Yankee and a Southerner, and your ears and the deepest embarrassment it’s possible to feel without crapping your pants in public. It's called Accidental Racist, and I think it may actually be worse than racism.

This song may actually be the worst thing to happen to race relations in America in decades. Think of how many awkward conversations this song is going to inspire between white people and their black friend. “Hey, I just wanted you to know, I listened to that song with Brad Paisley and the black guy from NCIS: Los Angeles , and I just want you to know that I get it… bro. Fist bump? No. Ok.”

Or maybe it's the best thing that could have happened to race relations in America. How can black people and white people hate each other when there is this song out there that they can hate together? Thanks, guys, you accidentally solved racism!

While we're talking about Accidental Racist, here are some other example of accidental racism:
