Bob Odenkirk And David Cross Are Doing A Sketch Comedy Series For Netflix

"Mr. Show with Bob and David" may have been one of the most heralded and beloved sketch comedy shows of all time but HBO still treated it like a redheaded stepchild of comedy. They barely promoted the show and eventually stuck it in a lousy midnight on Monday time slot by the time it reached its third season. The only thing more unbelievable than how they treated a gem like "Mr. Show" is how many chances they gave to "Arli$$." Netflix is correcting that mistake by giving Bob Odenkirk and David Cross another chance to make a kick-ass sketch comedy show.

Netflix confirmed that the comedy duo of Bob and David are reuniting to make a brand new sketch comedy series for their streaming network that will also include an hour-long, "behind the scenes" series about how the two got back together. The duo released a statement confirming that at least four, half-hour episodes are in the works "featuring all new characters, all new scenes and most importantly, all new wigs."

Of course, we're huge fans of "Mr. Show" and we can't wait to see what they've got in the works. However, we would be remiss if we didn't admit that while part of us is excited to see brand new material, we're also hoping that they'll bring back some of their greatest "Mr. Show" characters and scenes to the new show. In fact, we'd be more than thrilled just to see David Cross doing "The Audition" again word for word.
