This election cycle blew for all parties involved: if you liked Sanders, you got to watch as the DNC sandbagged him for Hillary. If you liked Hillary (which is an oxymoron in itself), your heart sank as nearly every state turned red on election night. And if you liked Trump, well, congrats! You won the election, but now a giant portion of this country considers you an uninformed redneck regardless of whether or not you live in a trailer. In other words, we've all lost.
Sometimes my sweeping generalizations are completely off and I only write them because I'm struggling for something to say, but thankfully we've got Troy Brown here as a prime example of exactly what went wrong with this election cycle. Not only is Troy a dick, but he's one of those dicks who thinks that just because his political views are different from someone else's that he's somehow a "better" person than they are.
Yup, that's a Facebook post by Troy in which he's bragging about leaving a woman stranded in a ditch of snow all because she's got a Trump sticker on the back of her car. Guy even doubled down and gave us a list of people Trump voters can call for help if they're ever in trouble:
Troy says he doesn't support "Trump supporters, rapists, trafficking, or murderers. I believe in peace and harmony. Trump didn't display that."Which is shocking, really -- because leaving a woman stuck in the snow doesn't exactly scream "peace and harmony" to me. It's fascinating how many liberals want to bitch and moan about how Trump supporters are all racist boobs, yet here we have a Bernie supporter watching with glee as this woman's day goes to complete shit all over a sticker on her car. Y'all ever looked up the definition of petty? Because we've got it right here.
Some people were on Troy's side, whereas others found his behavior ironically deplorable:
Regardless of what side of the political aisle you fall on, I hope we can agree on one thing -- leaving someone to rot just because you don't like who they voted for is only going to make this country worse, not better.
Would you have helped the woman stuck in the snow, regardless of her political affiliation? Let us know in the comments!
