American Airlines will not follow in the footsteps of United Airlines when it comes to dealing controversial viral videos. The company was quick to issue an apology to a woman who was filmed crying inconsolably after a flight attendant allegedly hit her with a stroller and nearly hit her baby.
The incident unfolded late last week as passengers boarded a flight from San Francisco to Dallas. The woman can be seen holding her baby and weeping as passengers loudly complain about the male flight attendant’s actions.
Now, American Airlines in full groveling mode so that it doesn’t end up like United Airlines, announcing that it was “deeply sorry for the pain we have caused this passenger and her family and to any other customers affected by the incident.”
“What we see on this video does not reflect our values or how we care for our customers,” the statement continued, with American Airlines claiming that has suspended the flight attendant involved in the incident and has launched an investigation into the matter.
