Airbnb Drug Fueled Orgy Ends With $75,000 In Damage To Owners House

Airbnb has been hailed as a new achievement for the travel industry that prevents weary world trotters from having to shell out their life savings for a night in a DoubleTree Hotel. Well, tell that to the people rented their house to some people who decided to repay their good nature by trashing the house and leaving them with a huge cleaning and repair bill.

Meet Mark and Star King of Calgary, Alberta. They decided to make a few extra bucks by renting their home on Airbnb, a travel site that lets homeowners rent rooms or houses to people who are visiting from out of town and don’t want to shell out dough for an expensive hotel. They recently rented their home to some tenants for just a weekend and in that time, the people they rented it to wrecked the place and just about everything underneath the roof.

See video of the carnage as the home owner shows it to police:

The trouble started shortly after Mark handed over the keys to a group of adults who said they were in town for a wedding. Shortly after they left, they started getting calls from neighbors who were concerned about the people staying at their house. They told them that a party bus showed up and the house was filled with people. Pretty soon, the police showed up three times when people complained about the noise and the small group of people turned into a crowd celebrating a party that lasted three days. Police were even called to the scene to break up a huge fight that presumably started over who could do a better job of punching holes in the drywall with their skulls.

Just wanted to make a few bucks renting out his house to strangers.

By the time the Kings returned to the house, their two-story home looked like they rented the place to a F4 tornado. They smashed and broke their furniture. Broken glass, used condoms  and food covered the floors. They smeared strange substances on couch cushions, carpets and pillows. They even found people who were still passed out just lying around the house.

Right now, the renters who own the home are seeking criminal damages against the people who caused it. Airbnb also provides a $1 million insurance policy for such situations to people who rent their homes on their website. Ashton Kutcher should also have to cover some of the damages. Airbnb wouldn’t have become such a success without his investment and if that never happened, the Kings wouldn't be in this situations. Plus, he still owes something to humanity for bringing us “Texas Rangers.”
