This Fan Has Over 200 'Simpsons' Characters Tattooed On His Back

Just how far are you willing to go to prove how much you love a certain TV show or a movie? Most of us just collect memorabilia and put them on display in our house. Others send naked pictures of themselves to the stars. Meet Michael Baxter, a man who loves The Simpsons so much that he covered his entire back with tattoos of the show’s characters.

To be exact, this Australian prison officer has 203 tattoos of different charters from the show on his back. The tattoos also featured the Simpsons family sitting on their iconic couch, the nuclear power planet where Homer works and the interior of Homer’s favorite watering hole Moe’s Tavern. The scene not only features Homer, Marge, Lisa, Maggie and Bart but also a ton of Springfield’s familiar residents. Baxter is so proud of his tattoos that he’s trying to get it confirmed as a world record in the next edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.

The entire collection of tattoos took more than 130 hours in 15 visits to tattoo artist Jade Baxter-Smith and cost Baxter over $12,000. For that kind of money, he could have hired “Simpsons” creator Matt Groening to fly down to Australia and just sign his back, which we’re pretty sure is also on Baxter’s bucket list.

So why did he get all these tattoos? He’s just a big fan of the show and he said that he’s become addicted to getting Simpsons tattoos. Does that mean he’ll have the residents of Shelbyville on his chest and stomach?
