A woman from California named Molly Schuyler beat teams of two in a gastronomical feat that will probably have the 124 pound lady eating salad for the next few days. That’s because Schuyler ate a record breaking three 72 ounce steaks, three baked potatoes, three side salads, three rolls and three shrimp cocktails – in less than 20 minutes. In addition to not having to pay for the meal, she won $5 grand. Hopefully a bottle of Tums was on the house as well.
The whole thing took place at the infamous Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo, Texas where eaters have lined up to do their steak challenge since 1960. The one place I wouldn’t want to be is in the Steak Ranch’s ladies’ room when she got done.
“I like a girl who can eat!”
Schuyler is a competitive eater and actually broke her own previous record for eating two of the behemoth steaks in one hour at the Big Texan.
She completely crushed that record like a piece of steak going through her gullet as she raced against other competitors including football players, a pro wrestler and another professional eaters competing as teams of two.
Would you be able to eat all of this yourself?
The Big Texan has been featured on numerous TV shows where average folks can try the 72-ounce Challenge. If you can eat the steak in one hour it’s free, otherwise it costs $72. So if you’re broke and can eat a 72 ounce steak in an hour, this might be a good option.
Here is sped up video of her ordeal:
